Testimony of Tom C. Punnoose

Tom C. Punnoose was born in Kerala, India. Tom accepted the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 17, 1985. The following is his testimony.

While growing up a neighbor named Annie came often to their house and shared the gospel with his mother.  During the span of twenty years, Annie who was born-again, taught Tom’s mother about salvation, condemnation, eternity and the Holy Spirit.  Tom’s mother did not want to see her two children, Tom and his sister, perish by running after this world.  So at that time, Tom’s mother sent the children to join meetings with the Immanuel Gospel Team, a group of born again believers from different Syrian Orthodox churches. That is how Tom and his sister began to hear and learn the Word of God.

In January of 1985 Tom attended a convention hosted by the Immanuel Gospel team.  That day, on January 17th, Dr. George Samuel, a renowned nuclear medicine scientist preached and Tom heard about salvation and his need of a Savior to inherit the Kingdom of God. Tom went back home after the meeting, into his room, closed the door, knelt down and asked Jesus to come into his heart. Tom was filled with the Holy Spirit on June 7, 1987 and received the gift of speaking in tongues on June 15, 1987. He obeyed the Lord in water baptism on May 8, 1988.

Tom finished a Master’s degree in Physics from Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India and a second Master’s in Computer Engineering from the University of Houston in Texas. He worked for Universities Space Research Association-Lunar and Planetary Institute for three years.  Tom has a calling to serve his Great Master Jesus Christ in evangelism and is currently pursuing a Masters in Practical Theology from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

Tom C. Punnoose resides in Missouri City, Texas with his wife and three wonderful children (Anna, Betsy, and Rachel). Tom C. Punnoose and his wife Elizabeth are the founders of Nations for Christ Ministries, and minister as full time evangelists travelling around the world to share the Gospel.
